How Odehl Inc. collects, uses, and shares information when you use our site, request access, submit a property, or talk with us about deals.

1. Who we are

Odehl Inc. (“Odehl,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) operates odehl.com and the Odehl platform from Houston, Texas. Odehl is an investment-intelligence product for residential real estate. We turn property, spatial, and market data into models, estimates, and flags so operators can screen land faster.

Questions about this policy: kevin@odehl.com.

2. Scope

This policy covers:

  • odehl.com and pages linked from it, including early-access and property-analysis forms
  • Email, calls, and messages you send us
  • Demo or customer workspaces we may give you
  • Information about parcels you ask us to look at

It does not cover third-party sites we link to (county appraisal districts, maps, social networks, or payment tools). Those services have their own policies.

If we enter a written customer, joint-venture, or data agreement with you, that agreement controls where it conflicts with this policy.

3. Information we collect

Information you give us

Depending on the form or conversation, this may include:

  • Name, work email, company, and role
  • Property addresses and related parcel details
  • Deal, buyer, or wholesale context you choose to share
  • Messages, files, deeds, surveys, or other documents you upload or email

Information collected automatically

When you load the site, our host and browser typically log IP address, browser and device type, referring URL, pages viewed, and timestamps. We use this to run and secure the site, not to sell profiles.

Parcel and public-record data

If you submit an address, we may retrieve or assemble publicly available information about that parcel — for example tax-assessor records, parcel geometry, flood overlays, and similar spatial layers. That data is about land. If it can identify a person (an owner name on a tax roll), we treat it as personal information under this policy when we hold it.

Information we do not intentionally collect

Do not send Social Security numbers, bank passwords, or full payment-card numbers through marketing forms. We do not need them to evaluate a parcel or an access request.

4. How we use information

We use information to:

  • Respond to access, analysis, subscription, and deal inquiries
  • Operate, maintain, and improve the site and product
  • Prepare estimates, models, and flags for parcels you submit
  • Communicate about Odehl when you have asked us to
  • Protect against abuse, spam, and security incidents
  • Comply with law and enforce our terms

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.

5. How we share information

We share information only as needed to run Odehl:

  • Service providers. Hosting, form delivery, email, fonts, and similar vendors who process data on our instructions. Form submissions on this site are emailed to us through a form processor.
  • Professional advisors. Counsel, accountants, or insurers if required for the business.
  • Legal and safety. If we believe disclosure is required by law, court order, or to protect Odehl, you, or others.
  • Business transfers. If we sell, merge, or reorganize, information may move with the business, subject to this policy or a successor notice.

We do not sell leads from the marketing site. If we later introduce a paid customer product, customer data stays in that workspace and is not used as a public data product.

6. Advertising and social platforms

We may run ads (including on Facebook and Instagram) that point to odehl.com. Those platforms collect information under their own policies when you see or click an ad.

This marketing site does not currently drop advertising pixels or use advertising cookies. If that changes, we will update this policy.

Links in the footer to LinkedIn, X, Instagram, and Facebook open those companies’ sites.

7. Cookies and similar technologies

Pages may load scripts and fonts from third-party CDNs (for example Google Fonts). Those providers may set their own cookies or receive your IP address. We do not use the marketing site to run a third-party ad tracker.

You can block cookies in your browser. The site should still read; some layout or fonts may fall back.

8. Retention

We keep inquiry, form, and correspondence data while it is useful for the purpose you submitted it — typically until we close the request, you ask us to delete it, or we no longer need it for operations, disputes, or law. Server logs are kept for a short operational period. Parcel analyses and customer files follow the same rule unless a customer agreement says otherwise.

9. Security

We use reasonable administrative and technical measures appropriate to a small software company (access limited to people who need it, encrypted transport to the site, vendor processors). No method of transmission or storage is completely secure. Do not send information through the site that you would not put in email.

10. Your rights and choices

Email kevin@odehl.com to:

  • Access or correct personal information we hold about you
  • Ask us to delete it
  • Opt out of product or marketing email (transactional replies to a request you sent may still go through)

If you are a California resident, you may also request to know the categories of personal information we collected, the business purpose, and the categories of parties we shared it with in the prior twelve months. We do not sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. We will not discriminate against you for exercising these rights. We may need to verify the request is from you.

If you are in the EEA, UK, or a similar jurisdiction and we process your information, you may have additional rights under local law (access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection, portability, and complaint to a supervisory authority). We process form and inquiry data to take steps at your request and to pursue our legitimate interests in operating Odehl. Contact us at the address below to exercise those rights.

11. Children

Odehl is for business users. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16. If you believe we have, email us and we will delete it.

12. Changes

We may update this policy. The “Last updated” date at the top will change. Material changes will be posted on this page. Continued use of the site after an update means you accept the revised policy.
